Jeff's Story

The very start of Jeff's company was when he was 12, although
the passion was inside him from the time he was just a little boy.
He started doing firewood, cutting logs and splitting everything
by hand.  He started mowing lawns for some neighbors too.
When he was in high school, he would borrow his mom's truck to
deliver his firewood to home owners.  When Jeff graduated high
school from St. John's Prep in 2000, he opened Chickadee Hill
Farm Service.  The company started out with just him, doing a
hundred cords of wood a year.  He has built his company, and
has become one of the largest firewood dealers in the area,
doing more than 1500 cords per year to residential customers as
well as many wholesale distributors in the area.  His hard work
and dedication has made his company grow, not only by
producing quality, clean firewood, but by creating a full service
lawn maintenance, tree service, loam, compost, and bark mulch
business.  He was just reminded the other day, about how long
he has been working to achieve his goals from when he was
little, when one of his long time customers asked if he could do a
spring clean-up for her daughter's high school graduation.  He
started mowing their lawn, when her daughter was in 3rd grade.
